In a paragraph of between 50 and 70 words, summarise in your own words, as much as possible, how natural remedies, and remedies which inflict some pain, can yield results.
ACUPUNCTURE
Acupuncture can alleviate nausea and pain. Below your wrist is a point you can press into service to relieve nausea. On the inside of your wrist, find the groove between the two large tendons that run from the base of the palm to the elbows. About five centimeters below the wrist, press down hard with a thumb or finger for a minute or two until the spot feels slighty achy. Mild queasiness may be relieved immediately. More intense nausea may require 20 minutes of repeated pressing. Another acupuncture point - the web of flesh between the thumb and forefinger - seems to moderate pain sensations. Squeeze it until it aches. The technique is especially effective for relieving pain in the head or neck area. But it can relieve any pain, possibly by triggering the release of edorphins, the body's natural painkillers. Ice has a number of uses and can relieve insect bites, clogged sinuses and toothache. For insect bites, rub the ice cube over the itchy spot as needed. For sinus infections, use ice and heat. Alternate a flannel dipped in iced water and a flannel dipped in hot water, and place them on your forehead and cheeks. This will clear your sinuses. Ice can also indirectly help toothache. If you hold an ice cube between your thumb anh forefinger, the intensity of the cold may activate a mechanism in the brain that temporarily inhibits pain messages from the tooth. While many of these home remedies can be effective, they can't replace your doctor. So give yourself a little time to try a simple cure - how much depends on how serious the problem is. Then if you are not getting better - see your doctor. You should take notice on persistent symptoms, and home treatments should be looked on as temporary measures.
