Dạng bài này thì bạn chỉ cần chú ý những điều sau là làm ổn:
- Neither S1 nor S2 + V (chia theo S2): cũng không
- Either S1 or S2 + V (chia theo S2): hoặc
- Not only S1 but also S2 (chia theo S2): không những... mà còn...
Với dạng nối câu thế này thì chú ý những cái chung ở 2 câu, còn điểm khác biệt (về chủ ngữ hoặc động từ hoặc tân ngữ) thì thêm các cấu trúc kia vào là được. Chú ý cấu trúc neither... nor, bản thân nó đã mang nghĩa phủ định, nên khi nối câu thì viết ở dạng khẳng định nhé
Mình ví dụ một câu:
Brian isn't very considerate. Tom isn't considerate, either. (neither...nor)
Để ý thì thấy 2 câu có chủ ngữ khác nhau, còn lại là giống, nên mình sẽ đặt cấu trúc ở 2 chủ ngữ.
=> Neither Brian nor Tom is considerate.
Động từ là "is" vì chia theo chủ ngữ thứ 2 là Tom, nó ở dạng khẳng định bởi có cấu trúc neither... nor...
