Bạn nên biết rằng let không được sử dụng trong câu bị động.
'Let' is not used in the passive
Use 'allow' in the passive but not 'let'.
E.g: The hostages were allowed to go free.
(Excerpt from Oxford learner's pocket grammar)

Vì vậy câu trên là hoàn toàn sai và không thể viết lại.
Tuy nhiên một số giáo viên Việt Nam cho rằng vẫn có thể dùng let trong câu bị động, cụ thể là trong sách Ngữ pháp của Mai Lan Hương viết như sau: S + be + let + to inf
Sau khi đã hỏi được một giáo viên đang giảng dạy tại trường học ở UK, cô ấy bảo là cấu trúc này hoàn toàn sai. Vì vậy khi mua sách Ngữ pháp Tiếng Anh các bạn nên chọn lựa sách của nước ngoài, của các NXB như: Oxford, Cambridge, Longman, Collins COBUILD, Merriam Webster ... Một số sách ngữ pháp được ưa chuộng như: English (Advanced) Grammar In Use của CUP hay Practical English Usage của OUP.
